Sea Freight Forwarding Services
Dependable sea freight for full containers, shared loads and cargo that needs a carefully planned passage.
Volume cargo, planned rather than pushed
Ocean freight rewards planning. The cargo is usually large, the schedule is fixed weeks ahead, and a missed cut-off costs a fortnight rather than a day.
We book full containers and shared loads across the major Indian gateways, prepare the documentation early enough to clear the cut-off comfortably, and coordinate port handling and onward transport so the container is not sitting on demurrage while somebody looks for a vehicle.
For part loads we consolidate with other cargo to bring the rate down, keeping each consignment separately documented so your clearance is never held up by somebody else's paperwork.

Sea Freight Forwarding Services: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL means your cargo has a container to itself; LCL means it shares one with other shipments and you pay for the space you use. As a rough guide, once you are past roughly half a container LCL stops being the cheaper option. We quote both so you can see where your consignment falls.
How long does sea freight from India take?
Ocean transit depends on the trade lane and whether the service is direct or transhipped — a few weeks is typical on the long-haul routes. The figure that matters more is the cut-off: documentation has to be filed days before the vessel sails, and missing it costs a fortnight, not a day. We work the file back from the cut-off rather than from the sailing date.
What are demurrage and detention, and how do I avoid them?
Demurrage is charged when a container sits at the port beyond its free days; detention is charged when you keep the container outside the port too long. Both are avoided with the same thing — clearance documents ready before arrival and a vehicle booked before the container is released. We monitor free time on your consignment and tell you when it is running out.
Do you arrange transport from the port to my premises?
Yes. Port handling and onward road movement are arranged as part of the same booking, so the container is not standing on demurrage while somebody looks for a vehicle.
